My name is Jack Pollock and i am an American Solider and I am a Sniper and I'm the guy that will help you out from 50 miles away in a trench protecting your back from the Machine gunners. But im from Trenton, Ohio a little small town full of ordinary Farmers, and so on but i went Edgewood a Country School in the farming populations. But i always went hunting with my Dad and i was always a good shot right on the five point buck and i always got my shot right. When i heard about the war i wanted to sing up and help my country out so i singed up and i went threw Boot Camp and i was a really good shooter and when i heard about the SpringField Rifle i wanted to try it out so i just took one shot and i blew the target away so then they put me as the Head Sniper and im proud to Serve my Country as a Marine Sniper

Its really cold over here in these muddy trenches just sitting here along just me and my SpringField Rifle just waiting for all the Soldiers on the Front Lines just to jump over the trenches and charge for the other side just acting like crazy chickens with there heads cut off just running trying not to get shot and when every thing fails they wait a few months just to do the same thing over and i was just 50 miles away just watching the action just unfold and i was shooting Jerry's heads off one by one.

The war is finally getting to me seeing all the blood on the battle field and young men just losing there lives for some stupid Submarine from them filthy Germans there going to pay for what there putting us threw listening to all the bomb shells rain down on us 1 of my friends got Shell Shock. And when i was laying on the ground trying to shoot a Jerry and out of know where something hit me right in my left shoulder and when i rolled blood was every where and with my last bit of breath i had i yelled for a Medic and i woke up the next morning under ground on a medical bad resting and waiting to get back on the battle field with my Trusty SpringField.

Me Cleaning my SpringField.
But i am getting really tired of the Genrals making the same thing over and over again just jumping over the trenches and running to the other side and trying to take the other sides trenches but it fails a lot of times and im one of the lucky men that stay back and just shot Jerry's in the head and for the other men they got to risk there lives with jumping and charging it's just stupid.

We finally got a new type of weapon its called a Tank and it helps us a lot by smashing over trenches and allowing us a few minutes of getting over and getting us some Trenches. We are freezing are butt's out here in the trenches and all we got is these ripped up coats and are meal is disgusting we got to eat Trecnch Rats. We finnaly got word that the Germans might fall back if we could push them back once and for all.

Well are Commanders are wanting to take a new advantage on the German Infantry but they did say it would be a really hard fight to take some more trenches from them dirty Jerry's once and for all. But there wanting us Snipers to take a position on a trench and give the men some cover fire from the Machine Gunners i all ready got hit in the Shoulder I'm not going to die but with my SpringField Rifle and my picture of my soon to be wife right in my Helmet. Its going to be one good fight.

It is snowing and im frezzing my you no what off we barely have any warm gear on at all just this coat on my back but there have been a few frost bite on there feet and hands but we are trying to over come it but it is really hard on us we have to dig the trenches farther down deeper and make sure we can jump in and get cover before we get shot. And i also lost my Scouter he is the guy that helps me pick targets out he was shot on the trenches fixing the barb wire and out of know where and bullet pireced his skull and blew his head off but now im having to do it on my own im waiting for some one to be his replacment but no one has came in yet. Mabey the war is about over i hope so i dont think we can handle much more of this stuff but we are hopeing this war will go by realy fast.

The Commander just got word that we might be shiping some people home for the holiday but i dont think the men will make it much more only 2,000 can go home and see there family and friends then they have to come back and keep on fighting this old dirty war in the frezzing trenches eating trench rats for breakfest and dinner it will drive a man insane and it would be a privilage to go home and eat normal food and stay in a nice good old warm house not getting frost bite. And seeing good men die back and forth. But mabey i will be one of them men i hope so. Im just wanting to go home so bad i miss my whole family i just want to go home and get my normal every day life back but i got to wait till this war is over with.

This is a World War 1 tank it helped us destroy the trenches with barb wire and it would destroy any thing that came in its way but there were some failures to the tank you could lose oxygen from the machine gun fire it would make and a lot of smoke and fumes and it would make you lose your breath and it was also cramped in there to.

Its finally come to an end the war is finally over now we can all go home and see our freinds and family and girlfriends or children but you no its been one heck of a war i got shot in my shoulder lost some really good friends but you no what if i have to defend my country again againt these dirty Jerry's then my god i will come over here and keep shooting off Jerry's Heads and i heard for my courage and a good heart for my men the Genral of the Marines is putting as a Commander of the Marine Sniping Squad when i heard that i had one little tear in my eye but i will always tell my children some good old war world one stroies from my first point veiw but i hope that Americans will Thank us and Welcome us home for good. But i just know that something will happen with us and the Germans i just know it i just dont trust them but till that day comes we the Americans will be ready for anything.
